HR Development Specialist

Job Summary

The HR Development Specialist is responsible for coordinating and supporting programs that enhance employee performance, foster learning and development, and improve engagement across the organization. Working under the guidance and supervision of the HR Manager, the HR Development Specialist ensures alignment with the company's HR strategy and assists in implementing employee-focused initiatives that support organizational goals.

Key Responsibilities
Learning and Development (L&D)
  • Coordinate training programs and logistics, including scheduling, venue arrangement, and communication with trainers and participants.
  • Assist the HR Manager in identifying training needs and ensuring alignment with departmental goals.
  • Track employee participation and progress in learning programs using the Learning Management System (LMS).
  • Collect feedback on training sessions and provide summaries to the HR Manager for evaluation and improvement.
  • Support onboarding activities by coordinating orientation schedules and materials.
Performance Management
  • Assist in implementing the company’s performance management system, ensuring all employees and managers are aware of timelines and processes.
  • Monitor the completion of performance reviews and prepare reports for the Head of department.
  • Provide employees and managers with guidance on completing performance appraisals and setting development goals.
Employee Engagement
  • Coordinate employee engagement activities, including surveys, team-building events, and wellness programs.
  • Prepare the engagement-related feedback and suggestions.
  • Assist in organizing recognition programs, such as employee of the month awards, etc.
Career Development
  • Support the HR in implementing career pathing programs and succession planning initiatives.
  • Maintain records of development plans and assist employees with scheduling training and development opportunities.
  • Provide basic career guidance to employees and elevate complex queries to the HR Manager.
Policy Development and Compliance
  • Assist the Head of department in updating and communicating policies related to employee development andli>
  • Ensure all activities and programs comply with labor laws and organizational standards.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Experience: 1–3 years of experience in HR.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Familiarity with HRIS and LMS platforms, LinkedIn, assessments platforms.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
    • Fluent in English.
    • Presentable.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
