An airline company is seeking an experienced HR Business Partner to act as a change agent in people and culture. The role involves translating business strategies into people strategies, engaging talent, and providing HR consultancy. Synopsis

The purpose of the HR Business Partnership role is to act as a change agent in regard to People and culture through delivery of tailored HR strategies across assigned Area that is aligned to the overall talent strategy across the organisation. The HRBP will collaborate with senior leaders and teams across the HR function to bring critical insight on talent strategy challenges within assigned area with a focus on organizational design and culture, leadership development, workforce planning and talent management.

The primary focus of the role is to translate business strategies and challenges into people strategies and plans to create a high performing culture through tailored HR Programmes

Key focus areas are the engagement of people, identification, and engagement of talent, and providing HR consultancy to the business while promoting HR policy to ensure fairness and equity. The role will also be involved in delivery of HR strategies within an assigned area, and providing an HR consultancy / generalist support to the business area.

Accountabilities
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to Business leads, offering guidance and thought on a range of people related topics (e.g., culture, inclusion, development team effectiveness, engagement, Operating modules, Business continuity )
  • Provide effective and timely support and guidance to management on people management practices and best practice, and ensuring that people managers are empowered with the right tools and HR knowledge to run their day-to-day business
  • Represent the business on People challenges that drive an exceptional employee experience (e.g., Policies and Processes, Total rewards diversity, retention, engagement)
  • Partner with assigned business leaders to define and deliver respective talent strategy that are relevant to the business and aligns with company’s Talent Philosophy and Business Strategy
  • Implement an engagement strategy with business leaders, and stakeholders to ensure the workforce of the respective departments are highly engaged and motivated
  • Promote and use talent and succession planning for business areas to ensure internal talent are being developed and groomed for future roles.
  • Engage with the business on an ongoing basis to keep up to date with business needs and requirements
  • Drive change management initiatives driven by HR that impact the business and ensure appropriate communication and engagement plans with the business.
  • Engage with the business on performance management and implement improvement plans and ensure alignment with performance management principles
  • Manage the day to day generalist HR activities relating to the employee life cycle – including performance management, employee relations, engagement, and separation
  • Identify, retain, and motivate talent through the talent guidelines and drive talent plans for assigned business area
  • Provide business acumen, industry expertise and analytics to identify gaps and anticipate workforce impacts leveraging data metrics to tell a story about the people needs within the function
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree is a must preferably in HR or Business Management.
  • 6 years’ experience in 2 or more HR disciplines and / or HR generalist role
  • Strong business acumen and experience leading HR initiatives beyond the scope of steady-state support of the business
  • Experience of leading HR initiatives in an organisation which prioritises talent and employee experience
