Job summary

A leading HR consultancy firm based in Abu Dhabi is seeking a seasoned HR Director to oversee recruitment, employee welfare, and strategic HR planning. The ideal candidate should have 20 years of HR experience, including managerial roles in construction/contracting. Strong knowledge of HR systems, UAE labor laws, and excellent leadership skills are essential. This position involves leading HR teams and ensuring adherence to legal standards, contributing significantly to the workplace culture.

Qualifications

  • 20 years of HR experience with 5 in construction/contracting and 5 years in a managerial position.
  • Strong knowledge of UAE labor laws.
  • Strong English skills; Arabic is a plus.

Responsibilities
  • Recruitment & Onboarding: Full-cycle hiring and smooth onboarding processes.
  • Employee Welfare & Mobilization: Handling relocation visas, welfare programs and workplace culture.
  • Strategic HR Planning: Workforce planning, succession planning, Emiratization and performance appraisals.
  • Training & Development: Identifying and delivering employee training programs.
  • HR Policies: Managing and updating HR policies and ensuring legal compliance.
  • Team Management: Leading HR, Admin, IT & ERP teams.
  • Administration: Office logistics, travel arrangements, licenses, site office management.
  • IT & ERP Oversight: Ensuring smooth IT operations, software licensing and ERP system functionality.
  • Medical Insurance: Overseeing renewals and reimbursements.
Requirements
  • Bachelor s degree in HR or related field
  • 20 years of HR experience (5 in construction/contracting, 5 years in managerial position)
  • Strong HR systems knowledge (Oracle, SAP etc.)
  • Knowledge of UAE labor laws
  • Strong English skills; Arabic is a plus
