Overview

Join our private property team supervising housekeeping operations to ensure the property is immaculate comfortable and welcoming for residents and guests. As Housekeeping Supervisor will lead a housekeeping team deliver discreet reliable and thorough cleaning and maintain the highest standards of presentation hygiene and confidentiality. This role requires strong attention to detail excellent organisational ability.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise coach and mentor housekeeping staff and contractors ensuring consistent delivery to the households standards and service expectations.

  • Plan assign and monitor daily weekly and deep-clean schedules; allocate tasks to ensure efficient coverage of all living spaces bedrooms bathrooms and service areas.

  • Perform and demonstrate high-standard cleaning duties as required including dusting vacuuming mopping polishing sanitising and spot maintenance to model expected standards.

  • Oversee laundry garment care and textile handling processes; ensure correct laundering pressing repair and presentation of linens clothing and soft furnishings.

  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies toiletries linens and equipment; place orders track usage and ensure cost-effective stock control.

  • Coordinate room preparation and turnarounds for residents and guests including setting amenities floral placement and ensuring privacy discretion and special requests are followed.

  • Identify report and follow up on maintenance issues damages or health and safety concerns; liaise with the Household Manager and contractors to supervise remedial work when necessary.

  • Maintain and promote health safety and hygiene standards including safe handling and storage of cleaning chemicals in line with COSHH principles and use of appropriate personal protective equipment.

  • Ensure confidentiality and exercise discretion at all times respecting the privacy of residents and guests within the household environment.

  • Undertake periodic deep-clean and seasonal projects quality inspections and continuous improvement initiatives as directed by the Household Manager or Head of Housekeeping.

Experience
  • Proven experience in housekeeping supervision within private residences luxury homes boutique hospitality or similar high-standard environments.

  • Practical experience in laundry management textile care and overseeing domestic teams is highly desirable.

Knowledge
  • Good knowledge of cleaning techniques materials and appropriate products for different surfaces and fabrics.

  • Awareness of health and safety best practice including COSHH and safe chemical use storage and disposal.

Skills
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong organisational planning and time-management skills.

  • Leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate staff provide constructive feedback and foster a collaborative team environment.

  • Good communication skills and a professional discreet manner when interacting with residents guests and colleagues.

  • Ability to prioritise tasks work independently and manage multiple responsibilities to meet household standards and schedules.

  • Physical fitness to perform manual tasks including lifting bending and standing for extended periods.
