Job summary

A luxury hotel brand in Dubai International Financial Centre is seeking a Hostess to be the first point of contact for guests at their restaurant. The ideal candidate will ensure an exceptional guest experience by being approachable, knowledgeable about the menu, and maintaining high grooming standards. Responsibilities include welcoming guests, managing reservations, and addressing guest queries. A degree in a relevant area and experience in the Food and Beverage department would be beneficial.

A Hostess at Waldorf Astoria Dubai International Financial Centre is the first point of contact for our restaurants and is responsible for serving guests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner to ensure an excellent guest experience. Your role is pivotal in upholding Forbes Five-Star standards by anticipating guest needs, delivering exceptional and memorable experiences, and ensuring every guest feels valued, welcomed, and cared for throughout their visit.

What will I be doing?
  • Extend a warm welcome to all guests arriving to the outlet.
  • Escort the guests to their table and presenting the menu.
  • Ensure extensive knowledge of menu and all outlet products.
  • Manage guest queries in a friendly, timely and efficient manner.
  • Follow correct reporting procedures, if faced with difficulties.
  • Maintain highest level of grooming including uniform dress code, cleanliness and personal hygiene.
  • Answer phone calls courteously and promptly, taking messages as necessary, which are legible and accurate and passing them on to the concerned person without delay.
  • Receive and confirm restaurant reservations, while adhering to the telephone etiquette and paying high attention to any preferences, dietary or allergy requirements.
  • Ensure that any guest preferences or special occasions communicated during the restaurant booking are cascaded with the team.
  • Engage with the guests and assist in providing each guest with a tailored guest experience, based on their needs and preferences.
  • Ensure excellent knowledge of the restaurant's sitting arrangements.
