Job summary

A leading GIS consultancy in Dubai is seeking a skilled GIS professional with over 7 years of experience in city and urban planning development projects. The successful candidate will report to the technical lead, assist in various GIS analyses, manage project geodatabases, and provide GIS training to clients' staff. This role requires a willingness to relocate to Oman for the project duration and aims to make a positive impact in the field of urban development.

Qualifications

• Minimum 7 years of GIS experience in city and urban planning development projects.
• Willing to relocate to Oman for project duration.

Responsibilities

• Update the land use plan and perform various GIS analyses.
• Set up and manage the project geodatabase as per client agreement.
• Coordinate with the Client's GIS team for OPIS.
• Prepare maps and conduct spatial analysis and reports.
• Provide on-the-job GIS training to client's staff.

Job description

The candidate will report to the technical lead and will be supporting the technical lead in the delivery of the assigned project sections.

Responsibilities

• Updating the land use plan and various GIS analyses
• Setting up and managing the project geodatabase in the format agreed with the Client
• Coordination with Client's GIS team for OPIS
• Prepare maps, conduct spatial analysis and prepare reports as required
• On-the‑job GIS training of client's staff
