Qualifications

• Proven experience in installing, terminating, and splicing fiber optic cables.
• Proficiency in using fiber optic tools, including fusion splicers and optical power meters.
• Strong knowledge of Wi-Fi router configurations and home networking principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Install and terminate fiber optic cables from the network distribution point to the customer's home.
• Install and configure Optical Network Terminals (ONT) and Wi-Fi routers.
• Set up internet services for customers, configuring router settings.
• Perform fusion splicing and conduct light-level testing.
• Check signal strength and resolve poor connections.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues related to fiber optic connections.
• Maintain records of installations and service calls.
• Educate customers on using their new services and equipment.
• Ensure tools and equipment are well-maintained and used safely.
