Job description

This position is for self‑employed contract work only. All work is coordinated remotely, offering the flexibility of working from home.

Euromonitor International is looking for a professional with a background in financial services to support the fieldwork for our market research projects. You will be engaged on short‑term ad‑hoc projects, each supported by a project manager in one of our EMEAI offices. Because the nature of our work is very ad‑hoc, there may be long periods between projects – ideal for someone already freelancing with other clients and looking to expand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough due diligence on companies in the context of M&A and IPOs, assessing their financial health, market positioning, and growth prospects.
  • Engage with key stakeholders for insights relevant to investment valuations.
  • Collect and analyse data from diverse sources to support investment valuations and decisions.
  • Review and gather information from secondary sources.
  • Develop a market and financial model for the investment.
  • Generate detailed reports and presentations using MS Excel and Word to communicate findings and recommendations effectively.
  • Maintain a minimum availability of 30 hours per week when actively engaged on a project.
  • Participate in continuous training in our market research methodologies via online courses and selected live training sessions.
  • Collaborate with an international team across EMEA and beyond.
  • Contribute to research projects for top multinationals and develop yourself as a local market research expert.
Qualifications
  • Knowledge of the Financial Services industry.
  • Experience within the financial field is required.
  • Tenacity in the pursuit of information and a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and a willingness to find strong industry contacts.
  • High level of numeracy – ability to work with, analyse, and interpret data.
  • Fluency in English.
  • Previous experience working on a short‑term contract basis or in a freelance capacity.
  • Excellent time‑management, organization and self‑motivation skills.
  • Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
