About the Role

As the Ford Pro Strategy & Insights Manager, you will lead the development of customer-backed strategies for our comprehensive portfolio of vehicles, software, and services. By owning the end-to-end insight loop, you will synthesize internal and external insights to define winning propositions and strategic segment choices. Your work ensures that Ford Pro’s ecosystem—from upfitting and telematics to charging and finance—remains at the forefront of the commercial customer’s evolving needs.

This position reports directly to the Product & Strategy Director and can be based at either our Melbourne, Dubai, Riyadh or Bangkok office.

  • Holistic Customer Insight: Synthesize internal and external research to build a 360-degree view of commercial customer needs across key Essential Economy vocations, such as construction, delivery, and emergency services.
  • Strategic Trend Forecasting: Monitor macro-trends—including electrification, autonomy, and last-mile logistics—to predict how shifting duty cycles and ownership models will impact future portfolio requirements.
  • Competitive Intelligence: Maintain a robust understanding of the competitive landscape, tracking rival product launches, footprint changes, and the introduction of non-vehicle solutions.
  • Portfolio Strategy Development: Define a clear, long-term vision for the vehicle and solutions portfolio, identifying which customer segments to prioritize and how the Ford Pro ecosystem will outperform the competition.
  • Cross-Functional Advocacy: Serve as the primary champion for the commercial customer within the organization, ensuring their functional and operational needs are integrated into all Ford Pro workstreams.
  • Business & Financial Modelling: Lead early-stage business case development by assessing market size (TAM/SAM), forecasting volumes, and modelling revenue and margin implications to ensure financial viability.
  • Research Leadership: Partner with the Global Consumer Insights (GCI) team to commission and scope new research projects, proactively closing data gaps to inform strategic decision-making.
  • Executive Storytelling & Influence: Distil vast amounts of disparate data into simple, actionable strategies and compelling presentations that influence senior leadership and cross-functional planning partners.
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or engineering.
  • 7+ years of professional experience in Product Strategy or Planning.
  • Automotive industry experience is essential.
  • Expertise in transforming customer "voice" and market data into product strategy.
Highly Desirable
  • MBA or relevant master’s degree.
  • Deep domain knowledge of the commercial vehicle market and its unique customer segments.
