Job description

Collaborate with clients to understand event requirements and preferences. Assist in planning and organizing food and beverage events considering budget constraints. Coordinate with various departments across the Hotel to ensure seamless execution of the events. Manage and supervise event staff ensuring proper training and performance. Oversee catering logistics including menu selection, food presentation, and service quality. Monitor and control event budgets, expenses, and revenue goals. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations during events. Address and resolve issues or concerns that may arise during events.

Maintain relationships with vendors and take part in purchasing negotiations of contracts for services. Implement and uphold quality standards for food and beverage offerings. Stay updated on industry trends and suggest innovative ideas for events. Provide exceptional guest service to enhance overall guest satisfaction. Prepare post-event reports and analyze performance for future improvements. Contribute to marketing efforts to promote food and beverage events. Stay informed about emerging trends in the food and hospitality industry

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • College Degree in Business, Hospitality, or Related field preferred
  • One to two years in a public contact position, preferably in an upscale or lifestyle brand hotel
  • Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems
  • Possess a gracious, friendly, and fun demeanor
  • Ability to multitask, work in a fast-paced environment, and have a high-level attention to detail
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
  • Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
  • Must have knowledge of Food and Beverage preparation techniques, health department rules and regulations, liquor laws and regulations on bar operation
