Job summary

A leading financial services firm in the UAE is looking for a skilled finance professional to lead and manage all aspects of financial accounting, budgeting, and reporting. The ideal candidate should be a Chartered Accountant with a minimum of 2 years' post-qualification experience and able to ensure compliance with regulatory and tax requirements. You will provide strategic financial leadership and mentor a team of accountants. This role presents a great opportunity for candidates aged 30 and older, offering a dynamic work environment.

Job description
Role & responsibilities
  • Lead and manage all aspects of financial accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and tax requirements (direct and indirect taxes, GST, TDS, etc.).
  • Manage and oversee month-end and year-end closing processes in alignment with applicable accounting standards (Ind-AS/IFRS/GAAP).
  • Develop and implement internal financial controls, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with auditors for statutory, internal, and tax audits.
  • Provide strategic financial input and leadership on decision-making issues affecting the organization (e.g., evaluation of potential investments, cost control, pricing decisions).
  • Monitor cash flows, working capital, and fund management effectively.
  • Liaise with banks, financial institutions, regulatory bodies, and other stakeholders.
  • Mentor and supervise a team of junior accountants and finance staff.
  • Handle consolidation of accounts for group companies, if applicable.
Preferred candidate profile
  • Chartered Accountant (CA) Must be a member of ICAI
  • Additional certifications like CMA, CPA, MBA (Finance) will be a plus.
  • Experience Required: 2+ years (Preferably post-qualification)
  • Age: 30+ years
