Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Estimation Engineer with a strong background in the Insulation Industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate cost estimates, technical proposals, and Bills of Quantity/Material Take-Off (BOQ/MTO) for various insulation-related projects. This role requires a solid understanding of insulation materials, industry standards, and project documentation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Estimation & Proposal Development
    • Prepare client quotations based on detailed cost estimates for materials, fabrication, and transportation.
    • Review project specifications, drawings, isometrics, and other supporting documents to generate accurate take-offs and BOQs/MTOs.
    • Develop concise clarifications, assumptions, and technical notes for inquiries routed through the Sales Department.
    • Provide timely and accurate technical clarifications to customers on all proposal‑related queries.
  • Coordination & Communication
    • Collaborate with the Sales Department to address customer inquiries and ensure complete understanding of project requirements.
    • Work closely with the Purchasing team to verify current pricing, lead times, and material availability.
    • Support the Operations team during project handovers, especially for large‑scale orders.
  • Data Management & Reporting
    • Maintain and update quote and estimate registers, ensuring accurate documentation for all submitted proposals and ongoing jobs.
    • Utilize quotation records to assist Sales in opportunity follow‑ups and forecast planning.
    • Analyze monthly quotation performance alongside Sales and Management teams.
    • Support Procurement in evaluating and comparing supplier quotations.
Requirements
  • Education
    • Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering (preferred) or a related engineering discipline.
  • Experience
    • Minimum 3 years of experience in estimation and costing for insulation materials.
    • Strong understanding of insulation types, applications, and industry standards.
  • Skills & Competencies
    • Proficiency in reading isometric drawings, project specifications, and technical documentation.
    • Strong analytical and numerical skills with attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and coordination abilities.
    • Proficiency in estimation software/tools is an advantage.
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
