A leading company is seeking an Energy Auditor to conduct detailed energy assessments across commercial and residential facilities. The role involves evaluating energy consumption, identifying savings opportunities, and presenting recommendations to clients. Ideal candidates will have a relevant degree and experience in energy auditing, along with certifications in energy management. We are seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Energy Auditor to conduct energy assessments in commercial, industrial, and residential facilities. The Energy Auditor will be responsible for evaluating energy consumption, identifying energy-saving opportunities, and recommending cost-effective improvements to reduce energy use and environmental impact.
Conduct site visits to assess energy usage in lighting, HVAC, electrical systems, insulation, windows, appliances, and other areas.
Collect, analyze, and interpret utility bills, building plans, and energy data.
Perform diagnostic tests such as blower door tests, thermographic inspections, and combustion analysis.
Prepare comprehensive energy audit reports including findings, energy conservation measures (ECMs), estimated savings, and ROI analysis.
Develop and present energy efficiency recommendations and upgrade strategies to clients.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal energy regulations.
Collaborate with engineering, construction, and facilities teams to implement energy-saving projects.
Stay updated with industry trends, technologies, and best practices in energy efficiency.
Education:
Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Energy Management, Environmental Science, or related field.
Experience:
2+ years of experience in energy auditing, energy consulting, or building performance analysis.
Familiarity with building energy codes, LEED, ENERGY STAR, ASHRAE standards, or ISO 50001 is preferred.
Certifications (Preferred):
Certified Energy Auditor (CEA)
Certified Energy Manager (CEM)
Building Performance Institute (BPI) certification
LEED Accreditation
