Position Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Electrician to join our building maintenance team. The ideal candidate should be proficient in electrical troubleshooting and repair works related to distribution boards (DB boxes), panels, breakers, timers, relays, and general building electrical systems. The role involves performing preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure safe and uninterrupted operations throughout the facility.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspection, preventive maintenance, and corrective repairs on DB boxes, electrical panels, breakers, timers, contactors, and relays.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults, overload issues, tripping problems, and wiring defects in residential and commercial building systems.
- Conduct replacement and installation of breakers, switches, isolators, timers, relays, sockets, light fixtures, and other electrical components.
- Verify proper load balancing, cable termination, earthing continuity, and grounding safety.
- Respond to tenant and building maintenance requests and rectify electrical issues promptly.
- Assist in upgrading or modifying electrical systems as required by building operations.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical inspections, maintenance work, materials used, and fault reports.
- Ensure all electrical works comply with local regulations, safety standards, and company procedures.
- Support other maintenance technicians during equipment shutdowns, emergencies, and system testing.
Skills & Qualifications:
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in building maintenance or facility management.
- Strong knowledge of DB panel configurations, breaker types, timers, relays, and control circuit operations.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Hands‑on experience with testing tools such as multimeters, clamp meters, phase testers, and insulation testers.
- Familiar with basic mechanical and HVAC electrical connections (preferred).
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with supervisors and tenants.
- Technical diploma or ITI certification in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Knowledge of safety standards and proper use of PPE.
Additional Requirements:
- Ability to work under pressure and attend emergency call‑outs.
- Physically fit to handle fieldwork, ladder use, and routine site inspections.
- Team player with a proactive and problem‑solving approach.
