Job summary

A leading engineering firm is seeking an Electrical Technician in Abu Dhabi. The role requires a diploma in electrical engineering and at least 5 years of relevant experience, or an ITI certificate with more than 10 years in the energy or petrochemical industry. Key responsibilities include working on generators and electrical components under the guidance of EGA representatives. Qualifications

Job description

• Hands‑on experience on Generators, switchgear, transformers, motor and electrical schemes.
• Should be capable of working as per instruction of EGA representative in High Voltage and Low Voltage areas.
• Should have basic Electrical Circuit tracing knowledge.
• Should be aware of industrial Safety rules.
• Should be able to work at higher elevations; i.e. working at heights.
• Familiar with all electrical maintenance tools. Conversant in electrical equipment Rectifier Transformer, Harmonic Filter, MV/HV Transformer, Generator, Motor, UPS/ DC Charger, LCI etc and its components.
• Speak, read and write English to a reasonable standard and should have excellent interpersonal skills and assertive personalities. An aptitude for team work (including shift work is also essential)
• Self‑motivation & dedication with a desire to work in a Multi‑Cultural environment.
