Job Description

The chosen candidate will be expected to:

• Main duties consist of Electrical fitting and installations in the assembly and erection of Container handling cranes such as RTG’s and ASC’s, such projects are undertaken in different countries around the world.
• Install, maintain, troubleshoot and repair electrical, electromechanical and electronic parts of industrial machinery mainly container handling cranes.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics and wiring diagrams.
• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, or fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Work all shifts flexibly when job demands.
• Handle simple and complex heavy industrial equipment like forklifts, scissor lifts, basket trucks and bobcats.
• Be able to work at heights ranging from 30 to 35 metres above ground level.
• Able to work in confined spaces.
• Able to follow rigid Health & Safety procedures.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

• Minimum three years’ experience in a similar role, ideally in the electrical engineering industry, preferably in crane assembly and erection.
• In possession of Electrical Engineering certification and/or diploma issued by reputable institution, such as City & Guilds or similar.
• Good command of English both written and spoken.
