Job summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and lead teams of electricians and technicians in installation, wiring, termination, and testing of electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and residential projects.
  • Review and interpret electrical drawings, layouts, and schematics to ensure accurate execution of design specifications.
  • Plan and organize daily work schedules, assigning tasks according to priorities and project timelines.
  • Inspect ongoing and completed works to ensure compliance with design, standards, and safety requirements.
  • Ensure availability and efficient use of materials, tools, and equipment on site.
  • Coordinate with engineers, project managers, and safety officers for permits, clearances, and inspection approvals.
  • Monitor progress and provide daily updates to the electrical engineer or site manager.
  • Enforce company HSE policies and ensure adherence to UAE electrical safety codes.
  • Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings to reinforce safe work practices.
  • Supervise cable routing, panel board installation, conduit works, lighting systems, and grounding systems.
  • Oversee testing and commissioning activities including continuity, insulation resistance, and functionality tests.
  • Identify and resolve electrical faults during installation and commissioning phases.
  • Maintain documentation of completed works, test results, and inspection reports for handover.
  • Promote team discipline, productivity, and motivation to meet quality and timeline objectives.
  • Collaborate with procurement and stores to monitor material usage and requisition additional materials as required.
Requirements
  • Education:
    • Diploma or ITI in Electrical Engineering or a related trade from a recognized institution.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum 6 years of electrical site supervision experience within the construction or MEP industry (UAE/GCC preferred).
  • Technical Skills:
    • Strong understanding of electrical systems, wiring, load distribution, and circuit protection.
    • Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, SLDs, and load schedules.
    • Hands‑on knowledge of testing and commissioning procedures for electrical installations.
  • Regulatory Knowledge:
    • Familiar with TAQA regulations, authority approval processes, and UAE safety standards.
  • Leadership Skills:
    • Proven ability to manage and train site teams effectively to achieve project objectives.
  • Communication Skills:
    • Good verbal and written communication in English (Hindi, Malayalam, or Tamil is an advantage).
  • Driving License:
    • Valid UAE driving license (mandatory for site coordination and mobility).
  • Personal Attributes:
    • Responsible, detail‑oriented, safety‑conscious, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
