Job Summary
The Electrical Engineer is responsible for overseeing transmission power line installation activities on site, ensuring effective coordination with the Site Manager, commissioning team, third parties, and the HSE Manager, while maintaining compliance with quality assurance standards.
Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for all on-site installation activities for the transmission power lines, including cable pulling, jointing, and termination.
- Review and verify technical designs and drawings for accuracy and constructability, ensuring compliance with project specifications.
- Implement and monitor plans, including regular inspections and tests on materials and workmanship to ensure quality standards are met.
- Coordinate closely with the site manager to align electrical installation schedules with overall project timelines and site logistics.
- Coordinate with the commissioning team to ensure all electrical installations are completed and prepared for testing and energization activities.
- Interface with third parties such as utility companies and other contractors to manage work interfaces and resolve technical issues.
- Identify and resolve technical and logistical issues that arise during installation to prevent delays and maintain project progress.
- Monitor and report on the progress of electrical installations, highlighting any risks or deviations from the project plan.
- Ensure accurate as-built drawings and documentation are prepared for all electrical installations upon completion.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 3-5 years of technical experience in installation of underground transmission power line projects Certified by TAQA UAE
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong understanding of electrical installation standards and quality assurance practices
- Ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders including site managers, commissioning teams, and third parties
- Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills
- Familiarity with safety protocols and regulatory compliance
