General Description of Role and Responsibilities:
- Develop RFPs and brief design strategies for master plan projects.
- Create land use datasets with an understanding of various land use products, traffic networks, circulation types, open spaces, and current real estate development trends.
- Assess land use and products for revenue-generating potential.
- Coordinate with internal teams to ensure multidisciplinary collaboration on master planning (feasibility, architecture, infrastructure, delivery).
- Manage in-house design teams to deliver master plan feasibility projects aligned with management expectations.
- Review master plan deliverables at all stages, ensuring compliance with DMT planning requirements (Vision, PCMP, Framework, CMP, DMP).
- Collaborate with relevant departments such as procurement, marketing, and sales; undertake internal test fit designs and planning with stakeholders.
- Coordinate with consultants to analyze land use projects, recommend sector splits, and review deliverables for alignment with project briefs.
- Ensure stakeholder requirements are met, provide regular design reviews, and present master plans to senior management as needed.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture, Master Planning, or Urban Design.
- At least 15 years of experience in master planning or real estate master planning across various asset classes, working with consultancies or medium to large developers.
- Experience leading multidisciplinary teams across disciplines such as Business Planning, Architectural Design, Infrastructure, Engineering, Transportation, Project Management, Procurement, and Commercial functions.
- Extensive experience in all stages of master planning from visioning to detailed design.
- Deep understanding of land use complexities and revenue potential of different products and assets.
- Proficiency in urban design and master planning best practices and current trends.
- Strong time management and design management skills.
- Ability to communicate and sketch master plans using hand sketches, digital tools, and CAD.
- Experience preparing diagrams and visual materials using Adobe InDesign, Illustrator, and similar software.
- Competence in report writing and presentation using Adobe InDesign, Word, PowerPoint, etc.
- Experience collaborating with landscape architecture and public realm concepts, including sketching and Photoshop.
