Job description

Job Summary:

This position is responsible for greeting and welcoming guests and identifying them by name and directing them to Front Desk. Assist guests with luggage and/or valet parking as well as opening the car doors for the guests or obtain transportation such as taxis for the guests.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Print out the daily arrival and departure lists.
  • Supervise the luggage delivery for the newly arrived guests.
  • Coordinate the valet parking services and keep the guest car keys in a locked drawer at the Belldesk.
  • Ensure guests’ comfort in case of any emergency situation and follow the fire evacuation procedure; print out the daily in house guests report.
  • Confirm the number of guests boarding on the shuttle busses and report any additional guests who want to use the service, if no seats are available; ensures additional transportation is provided.
  • Keep record of all taxi bookings, hotel and RTA-cars departing from the property.
  • Arrange bottles of water in the hotel cars for airport pick up/drop off and hotel car transfers.
  • Ensure the ashtrays at the main entrances are clean at any time.
  • Inspect the car parks condition for cleanliness and availability, i.e. the handicap parking spaces are being used only by the authorized guests only.
  • Daily check the condition of caddies and arrange with Bellmen regarding the cleaning of caddies and/or monthly maintenance.
  • Follow high performance principles in terms of arrival and departure experiences for the guests, as per the LQA standard.
  • Supply guests with directions, travel information and other information such as available services, tourist attractions, resort facilities and events.
  • Informs the Duty/ Night Manager of any food or beverage items brought in by guests from outside.
  • Inform the Duty/ Night Manager or Line Manager of any unexpected VIP arrivals.
  • Inform Line Manager of any suspicious situations, persons, unattended luggage, noise or smell.
  • Ensure that all lost and found items are handled as per company SOPs without delay.
