Black & Grey HR is recruiting for a leading Landscaping Company based out of Abu Dhabi, UAE. Our client is looking to hire a Director of Technical Engineering to provide strategic leadership, technical direction, and operational oversight across all engineering and design functions.

This role will lead the technical vision and delivery of complex landscaping and infrastructure projects—ensuring innovation, sustainability, and quality at every stage. The ideal candidate will combine deep engineering expertise with strong leadership skills to deliver exceptional landscape solutions aligned with the company’s growth and performance goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and implement the engineering strategy to support the company's long-term goals.
  • Promote innovation, digital tools, and process improvements to keep the organization competitive.
  • Advise senior leadership on technical issues, new technologies, and engineering best practices.
  • Ensure all engineering activities align with business goals, cost efficiency, and sustainability objectives.
• Project Management
  • Oversee the planning, design, and execution of large-scale engineering projects.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Identify potential risks and develop solutions to keep projects on track.
  • Anticipate potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to maintain smooth project execution.
• Compliance & Quality
  • Guarantee all work complies with UAE regulations and international standards (e.g., ISO, ASME, OSHA).
  • Conduct safety and quality audits to maintain operational integrity.
  • Embed sustainable and environmentally friendly practices into engineering operations.
  • Integrate sustainable design principles and water‑efficient landscaping systems to support ESG goals and environmental commitments.
• Team Leadership
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a multi‑disciplinary team of engineers.

Requirements

• Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) is required.
  • A Master’s degree in Engineering Management or Business Administration is preferred.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., PMP, Chartered Engineer) are a plus.
• Experience
  • Minimum of 18 years of experience in engineering, project management, or technical operations within facilities management, construction, or infrastructure.
  • At least 10 years in a senior leadership role, managing teams and large‑scale projects.
