Job Profile Summary

We are seeking a mission-oriented and skilled Sr. Director of Sheikh Khalifa Medical City (SKMC) / Cincinnati Children’s Global (CCG) IS Partnership to join our Information Services team at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, living in Abu Dhabi, UAE to facilitate and collaborate information system integration and cooperation between medical centers. In this role, you will:
- Shape Strategy and Tactics: Develop and implement strategies and tactics that will allow CCHMC and SKMC to partner on workflow, process, and infrastructure, facilitating world-class pediatric care at SKMC. This includes identifying key areas for improvement, setting goals, and creating action plans to achieve these goals.
- Build Relationships and Capacity: Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders at both CCHMC and SKMC. This involves regular communication, collaboration, and coordination to ensure that both institutions are aligned and working towards common objectives. Additionally, you will work to build capacity within both organizations to support the partnership and integration efforts.
- Collaborate with Other Leaders: Work closely with other leaders at CCHMC and SKMC to holistically meet the needs of CCHMC’s evolving and dynamic information systems environment. This includes participating in leadership meetings, providing input on strategic decisions, and working on joint projects to improve clinical care, operations, and research activities.
Job Description
People Planning/Development
- Create a vision and roadmap for CCG’s policies, procedures and services to enhance collaboration between SKMC and CCG
- Elevates team members’ thinking and understanding of the field by infusing best practice knowledge into the work as well as adherence to local laws, rules, and regulations
- Lead the selection, development, mentoring, and coaching of team members
Department Leadership
- Propose, research, and manage the development, implementation and assessment of long- and short-term technology, research goals, and objectives in collaboration with SKMC and CCG department and organizational leadership.
- Implement and monitor assigned initiatives (e.g., EMR integration).
- Drive execution of projects and components.
- Act as a champion for a positive organizational culture and quality of work life.
System Design and Strategy
- Lead the development, design and implementation of systems and technology that meet workforce and patient care needs, are cost effective and consistent with best practice.
- Develop and maintain supportive policies and practices that provide equitable access to computational resources and methods for the SKMC and CCG partnership.
- Oversee vendor relationships, RFPs, and selections related to technology innovation and data science solutions.
- Ensure adherence to United Arab Emirates Department of Health standards, policies, and procedures
Financial Management
- Develop and manage the annual and capital budgets in collaboration with IT leadership.
- Monitor expense; evaluate variances, determine underlying causes and identify, present, and implement proposed solutions
- Accountable for compliance with organizational financial policies and procedures
Job Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field
- 7+ years of work experience in a related discipline
