About the opportunity

The role is a 360 marketing role with end to end strategy development, budget allocation, conceptualization and execution. Your core responsibilities will be the following:

  • Brand and Creative Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive brand strategy that strengthens our market position and enhances brand health. You'll lead creative development for all marketing campaigns across various media, including digital & social, out-of-home (OOH), and traditional ATL channels. As a result, you will need to have a deep understanding of what moves consumer sentiment in the UAE and use that alongside the brand guidelines and tone of voice to build a truly authentic brand that consumers resonate with and relate to beyond the functional basics.
  • Customer Growth and Retention: Drive the overall marketing strategy to acquire new customers and increase order frequency for both our food, grocery and retail verticals. This includes setting ambitious growth targets and managing the teams responsible for achieving them.
  • Ecosystem Product Marketing: Lead the marketing for our key ecosystem products, including our post paid service, rewards programs, and our subscription service, talabat pro. You will develop go-to-market strategies that maximize adoption and usage of these services.
  • CRM & Lifecycle Marketing: Oversee our customer relationship management (CRM) strategy, ensuring a seamless and personalized experience for our users. This includes managing push notifications, email campaigns, and in-app communications to boost engagement and loyalty, automated flows with clear entry criteria and a dynamic LTV based model to manage incentive efficiency.
  • Product Marketing Collaboration: Work closely with the product marketing team to ensure new features and products are launched successfully and effectively communicated to our user base. You will provide marketing expertise and consumer insights to help shape the product roadmap with your regional stakeholders.
  • Budget Management: Own and responsibly manage a significant marketing budget. This includes allocating funds across various channels such as digital marketing, OOH, and ATL. You will also create frameworks for managing and responsibly deploying investments to drive growth while maintaining financial health.
  • 3rd party collaboration: Work closely with world class creative and other agencies, have a robust performance management system in place and ensure talabat’s strategies come to life via the contracted 3rd parties.
  • Team Leadership: Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing marketing team. You will be responsible for fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous learning.
  • Leadership Team Partnership: Work in close partnership with other members of the leadership team, including the heads of Sales, Business Performance & Strategy, PR, Logistics and People Ops. You will represent marketing in leadership discussions, ensuring marketing initiatives are aligned with company-wide goals and providing key insights from a customer and brand perspective.
  • Regional Marketing Leadership: Guide and collaborate with regional marketing teams, ensuring consistency in brand messaging and strategy while empowering them to execute campaigns that are locally relevant and effective.
What you need to be successful
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
  • Minimum of 8-10 years of marketing/ growth experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership role.
  • Proven experience in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, preferably within the food, grocery delivery, or e-commerce industries.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute brand strategies that have a measurable impact on brand health and market share.
  • Extensive experience managing large marketing budgets and allocating resources effectively to achieve business objectives.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing channels, CRM, and lifecycle marketing.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Highly analytical and data-driven, with the ability to use insights to inform strategy and decision-making.
