Job description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Design Manager - Site to join our site team in this pivotal role you will lead and oversee the design process for construction projects ensuring seamless integration of architectural and engineering elements while maintaining the highest standards of quality and efficiency.

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate the design team including architects engineers and other design professionals
• Oversee the development and implementation of design strategies for the construction project.
• Conduct regular site visits to ensure design compliance and address any on-site design challenges
• Review and approve design documents drawings and specifications for accuracy and completeness
• Collaborate with project managers contractors and clients to ensure design objectives are met
• Implement and maintain quality control processes throughout the design phase
• Analyze and resolve complex design issues providing innovative solutions
• Ensure compliance with local building codes regulations and sustainability standards
• Manage design budgets and timelines optimizing resources for project success
• Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies in construction design

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Architecture.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in architecture with a proven track record in on-site design management
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD Revit) and Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• Strong knowledge of construction documentation building codes and regulations
• Excellent project management skills including the ability to lead design teams effectively
• Experience in cost estimation budgeting and resource allocation for design projects
• Demonstrated ability to review and ensure quality control in design processes
• Familiarity with sustainability principles and green building practices
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders
• Professional certification (e.g. PMP LEED AP) preferred
• Willingness to travel to various construction sites within the UAE
