KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Read and analyze contractual documents to identify the project’s scope of work and coordinate subsequently with the contract administration unit to enlighten any arising event that may have a contractual risk.
- Communicate both internally and externally (Client/consultant and the Project Manager) to identify relevant needs and communicate them to the designer for proper implementation.
- Set the sequential order of the drawings preparation based on priorities and encountered constraints to ensure the continuity of site project execution.
- Follow-up on design preparation and updating, inform the Project Manager of any delays in the project’s designs and their subsequent impact to prevent surpass the project planning.
- Mediate between the project manager and the designer to adjust and/or change any prepared drawings based on the site’s conditions and encountered practical constraints.
- Review with the client/consultant the design drawings to make sure the different specifications and criteria have been respected, make minor changes if necessary and escalate complex ones to the designer.
- Ensure the traceability of all drawings, make sure the final validated version is in use and coordinate closely with concerned parties to assure appropriate control of documents.
- Prepare as-built drawings related to the project’s executed work and ensure proper diffusion and filing of documents for future maintenance work on the project site.
- Provide technical assistance whenever needed to meet the project’s specifications and raise internal standards of work.
- Provide guidance and directives to design drafters/technicians in order for them to deliver a work of quality.
QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS
- Engineering degree (Architecture, Electrical, Mechanical or Civil).
- Minimum of 10 year of experience in design.
- Proficiency in manipulating CAD and photoshop.
- High interpersonal skills.
- English language skill – written and spoken.
