Responsibilities
  • Welcome patients and ensure they are comfortable and informed before procedures.
  • Assist dentists during various procedures by handing instruments and materials.
  • Prepare examination and surgical rooms by setting up instruments and materials.
  • Take, develop, and mount dental radiographs as instructed by the dentist.
  • Perform sterilization and disinfection of dental instruments and equipment.
  • Prepare and mix filling and impression materials according to dentist's directions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including medical histories and treatments provided.
  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments, managing the office calendar efficiently.
  • Educate patients about proper oral hygiene practices and post-operative care.
  • Order and manage inventory of dental supplies and materials as needed.
  • Perform basic laboratory tasks, such as pouring and trimming dental models.
  • Handle dental emergency situations with calmness and promptness to minimize patient discomfort.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification is a plus.
  • Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or similar role in dental practice.
  • Familiarity with dental office procedures and equipment handling skills.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills with attention to detail.
