Overview

We are seeking a Demi Chef de Partie. This role is perfect for a culinary professional looking to develop their skills and take on responsibility within a supportive team environment. The successful candidate will help prepare and present high-quality hot dishes, maintain kitchen standards and contribute to smooth service operations.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook hot menu items ensuring consistent quality, portion control and presentation.

  • Assist the Chef de Partie with daily mise en place, stock rotation and ordering as required.

  • Execute dishes during service periods, coordinating with other kitchen stations to maintain timely service and minimise waste.

  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness in line with HACCP and local regulations.

  • Support training and supervision of junior kitchen staff and kitchen porters when required.

  • Contribute to menu development and daily specials, offering creative input and suggestions to improve dishes.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a similar role within a hot kitchen, ideally in a busy restaurant, hotel or Private Property.

  • Strong cooking skills with a good understanding of hot food techniques, portioning and timing.

  • Knowledge of food safety and HACCP.

  • Ability to work under pressure, multitask and maintain attention to detail during service.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.

  • A positive attitude, willingness to learn and flexible approach to shift patterns including evenings and weekends.
