Overview

At Amazon Web Services (AWS) were looking for an experienced leader to build our Engagement Management Professional Services specialty team. As the person in this role you will be responsible for ensuring the successful delivery of engagements. You will partner with other AWS ProServe organizational leaders to expedite stakeholder alignment, team cohesion, and risk mitigation while ensuring feedback loops close the engagement lifecycle. You will be a strategic business partner assisting in development of internal teams in agile frameworks, best practices, and AWS prescriptive practices to accelerate both innovation and migration scenarios with customers.

Key Job Responsibilities
  • Engage customers — collaborate with enterprise sales managers to develop strong customer and partner relationships and build a growing business in a geographic territory driving AWS adoption in key markets and accounts.
  • Lead and build a team of individuals who will be responsible for the successful delivery of projects with our most strategic customers.
  • Provide advisory work as a strategic business partner to help customers achieve their business outcomes and drive innovation throughout the engagement life cycle.
  • Develop and deliver talent development and training, enabling customers, partners and internal teams on our agile delivery framework and the AWS prescriptive way of working.
  • Drive a consistent project/engagement experience for our customers through our Engagement Manager community.
  • Participate in pre‑sales on‑site visits, understand customer requirements, propose and deliver ProServe offerings such as mass migration programs, and help develop custom solution engagements.
  • Collaborate with AWS field sales pre‑sales, training and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services in key market verticals and regulated industries such as financial services, media/entertainment, and healthcare/life sciences.
  • Deliver and manage multi‑stream technical engagements with partners and customers, providing oversight at executive level and enabling communication on program or project progress and financials tailored to the audience. The Engagement Manager is responsible for managing customer expectations, managing AWS delivery consultants, and managing the scope and budget of each individual project.
  • Work with AWS engineering support and business teams to convey partner and customer feedback and lessons learned.
