Job Description:

Our client, a prestigious medical university in Dubai, is seeking an accomplished and visionary Dean of Academic Affairs to oversee the academic operations of the university. The successful candidate will provide leadership and strategic direction for academic programs, faculty development, and curriculum design. This role is crucial in ensuring the highest standards of academic excellence are maintained across all departments and programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide leadership and oversight for the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of academic programs.
  • Collaborate with department heads and faculty to ensure the curriculum aligns with the university's mission and accreditation standards.
  • Lead the strategic planning and development of academic policies, procedures, and programs.
  • Oversee faculty recruitment, development, and evaluation to maintain a high standard of teaching and research.
  • Ensure academic programs meet accreditation requirements and maintain compliance with relevant regulatory bodies.
  • Monitor student academic progress and implement initiatives to enhance student success and retention.
  • Coordinate and manage faculty affairs, including professional development and performance evaluations.
  • Serve as a liaison between the administration, faculty, and students to ensure open communication and effective collaboration.
  • Manage academic budgets and resources, ensuring the efficient use of funds for educational programs.
  • Represent the university in academic conferences, professional organizations, and accreditation bodies.

Qualifications:

  • A PhD or equivalent in a relevant medical or educational field.
