Responsibilities
- Monitoring and handling all special events taking place during the month, then analyze the cost related.
- Conducting stores & outlets stocktaking, and then uploading into JANA, then verify the related differences.
- Preparing for the month end reports, which include JVs, F&B reconciliations, inventories, final flash report, monthly consumption report etc.
- Track daily food and beverage costs and identify variances.
- Analyse recipe costs, portion controls, and food waste to recommend cost-saving initiatives.
- Monitor purchasing prices and vendor pricing changes.
- Conduct regular stock counts of food, beverages, and operational supplies.
- Maintain accurate records of stock movements (issuance, transfer, spoilage).
- Reconcile inventory with POS and accounting systems.
- Prepare cost reports (daily, weekly, monthly) for management review.
- Maintain up-to-date product costing sheets, pricing structures, and inventory records.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and SOPs.
- Work closely with purchasing, kitchen, bar, and finance teams to ensure cost control standards are met.
- Provide training to operational staff on inventory procedures and cost awareness.
- Support menu engineering and pricing strategy based on food cost analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Hospitality Management, or related field
- Minimum 4-5 years of experience in cost control, preferably in the F&B sector
- Strong understanding of F&B operations, procurement, and inventory systems
- Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP / POS systems (e.g., Infrasys, Jana)
- High attention to detail and analytical skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
- Full UAE driver’s license (with own car)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with menu costing tools or inventory software (e.g., Barvintory)
- Fluency in English / Arabic / other languages as applicable
