Job Purpose

The organization is in the business of insurance and claims settlement is one of the key functions in this trade. The organization will need to have claims specialist to manage the claims this regard individuals (claims adjusters) with the right talent and technical knowledge needs to part of the claims team.

In depth knowledge of insurance contracts and claims management.

Job Accountabilities
  • Support the implementation of claims strategy in the Cluster through initiatives that are aligned with Global/ International/ EMEA regional claims strategic objectives as well as Country business plans and priorities.
  • Represent AIG interests with key customer and take responsibility for developing and delivering the claims value proposition.
  • Accountable for claims contribution to the combined ratio in the context of Indemnity ULAE ALAE and operational expense management.
  • Manage the assigned portfolio of claims as per the best practices set out in the Guidelines in every facet of the claims process i.e. from loss notification to final payment fraud oversight to recovery of loss payment from third party salvors.
  • Claims management; coverage determination quantum analysis and legal liability assessment where appropriate within authority limits and providing a consistently strong standard of customer service.
  • Ensure a reputation of Claims excellence and service delivery in the marketplace. Establish and maintain excellent levels of customer service with particular attention to:
  • Responsiveness speed of service delivery.
  • Quality of service rendered.
  • Service delivery programs.
  • Client prioritization.
  • Demonstrate a high standard of technical claims competence. Timely accurate and customer focused claim resolution.
  • Effective vendor and litigation management.
  • Effective communication on claims to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge and experience in negotiation and mediation skills.
  • A good knowledge of claims systems (Navins) and MS Office. Capability of data analyses Power BI and portfolio management.
  • Ensure KPIs set by the Head of Claims- GCCNA are met.
  • Provide LoB-specific MI to the Head of Claims- GCCNA as and when required.
  • Provide support in the handling of special corporate/ multinational accounts.
