Job description

We currently have an opportunity within SPIE Oil & Gas Services Middle East LLC - Abu Dhabi branch for a: Commissioning & Start up Electrical Lead

Location: Home Office

  • Coordinate Technical issues resolution
  • Retain Completions Technical Lead on all Engineering related issues
  • Interface with PE & PMT for major commercial & PM decisions
  • Manage engineering, quality, construction (MC) and procurement interfaces
  • Monitoring design and fabrication progress of process equipment packages
  • Participate in development of the TCP's
  • Participating in performance tests for major equipment
  • Interfacing with SUBCONTRACTORS' project management to ensure all critical commercial and technical issues are addressed.
  • o Components not passing quality
  • o Specification Deviations
  • o Inspection reports
  • Engineering Technical Support of planning efforts for MECHANICAL COMPLETION and COMMISSIONING activities in the VENDOR shops, fabrication yard, and at SITE.
  • Review and approval of DCNs & FCRs
  • Assist in determining testing criteria for FATs for major pieces of equipment to ensure equipment has been fully tested to international standards and all documentation has been received in full and all FAT PUNCH LIST ITEMS were recorded and added to the SYSTEMS Completion Database.
  • Lead efforts to develop SITE PERFORMANCE TEST procedures and criteria
  • Participation in generation of PROJECT SYSTEMS Completion Schedule for all project phases.
  • Participate in SYSTEMS Completion (SC) Workshops to ensure alignment between all Stakeholders and what is required from them for SC acceptance at all PROJECT milestones.
  • Generation of full Step by Step Dynamic COMMISSIONING Procedures on SYSTEMS allocated to them during design.
  • Manage procurement of all COMMISSIONING and START-UP spares, first- fills, special tools and equipment to ensure all mentioned are present at SITE in a timely manner for execution.
  • Develop SYSTEMS Completions VENDOR Support Plan for their related SYSTEMS
  • Location: In Yard and At SITE
  • Technical oversight during fabrication, MECHANICAL COMPLETION, and COMMISSIONING activities
  • Interface with Discipline SYSTEM Owners to prioritize and ensure focus on completion of related SYSTEMS
  • Ensure quality, accuracy and integrity of all SYSTEM issues, including agreement on any changes, close out verifications, schedule opportunities.
  • Interface with construction group to ensure MECHANICAL COMPLETION check sheets are allocated accordingly to each item of equipment to be inspected
  • Ensure adherence to COMMISSIONING procedures
  • SYSTEM walk downs, Ensure appropriate discipline and multi-function attendance for walkdowns with the MC Coordinator.
  • Support of preservation activities, monitor compliance
  • Own VENDOR attendance plan to ensure required on-SITE attendance when required to allocated SYSTEMS
Profile

Ideally, you will have graduated in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent with minimum 15 years' engineering experience combined with at least eight years' on-site installation, pre-commissioning, changeover and commissioning management of brown field and greenfield projects for the oil and gas industry.

Offshore experience is a must.

You will have good interpersonal and organizational skills, as well as, a good level of computer literacy and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

Dynamic, proactive, very organized and detail oriented.

Fluent in English. French or Arabic shall be considered as plus.
