Job summary

A global engineering firm is seeking a Mechanical Commissioning Engineer for a site-based role in the UAE. The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering degree and over 10 years of commissioning experience in Thermal PP-CCGT or similar plants. Responsibilities include planning commissioning activities, preparing procedures, and coordinating tests with OEMs and operations teams. This is a 18-month contract position.

Qualifications

• 10+ years commissioning experience on Thermal PP-CCGT or similar plants.
• Strong knowledge of rotating equipment and mechanical BoP.

Responsibilities

• Plan and execute mechanical pre-commissioning and commissioning activities.
• Prepare and review commissioning procedures and checklists.
• Coordinate flushing, pressure testing, rotation, performance and reliability tests.
• Interface with OEMs, construction and operations teams.
• Record test results and support system handover.
