Key Accountabilities
- Design and deliver fitness programs that are safe, inclusive, and aligned with the needs of university students and staff.
- Assess participants’ fitness levels and monitor progress using appropriate testing and evaluation methods.
- Provide proper instruction and supervision to ensure correct exercise techniques and prevent injuries.
- Promote health, wellness, and active lifestyles through education, workshops, and fitness initiatives on campus.
- Motivate and support participants to achieve personal fitness goals and maintain long‑term engagement.
- Ensure compliance with university policies, safety standards, and health regulations within fitness facilities.
- Maintain fitness equipment and facilities, reporting faults and ensuring a safe training environment.
- Collaborate with the Student Affairs Sections, such as student activities and student clinics, to support wellness programs.
- Keep accurate records of attendance, assessments, progress, and incident reports as required.
- Pursue ongoing professional development to stay current with fitness trends, research, and best practices.
- Complete any other job‑related tasks as assigned by line manager within the expected time limit.

- Participate in developing the department/college’s operational and business plans, and contribute to its execution, in line with the department/college’s strategy to support the University’s strategic objectives.
Continuous Improvement
- Provide input to enhance the processes and procedures that help implement relevant best practices.
- Follow all relevant processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions accurately to ensure that job tasks are carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
Systems, Processes and Reports
- Generate relevant reports and ensure that they are prepared timely and accurately, and meet the department’s requirements and standards.
- Operate the required software/hardware accurately and effectively.

Required Qualification & Experience
- Minimum of a bachelor’s in Sports Science, Physical Education, or a relevant discipline.
- 2‑3 years of UAE experience in similar role, preferably in higher education institutions.
- Experience designing and delivering group fitness classes and individual training programmes.
- Familiarity with gym equipment, fitness assessments, and safety protocols.
- Priority is to UAE Nationals.
- Age should not exceed 35 years.
- Extra Certifications (from a recognised fitness organisation) will be a plus, such as:
- Certified Personal Trainer (CPT)
- Group Fitness Instructor Certification
- Strength & Conditioning Certification
- First Aid, CPR & AED Certification
