Summary

As Cluster Sales Director for Banyan Tree Dubai and Delano Dubai you will play a pivotal role in driving leisure revenue and elevating brand presence across the UK and Germany markets. With a strong focus on high-net-worth individuals luxury leisure travellers and vacationing families this role is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, cultivating strategic partnerships and delivering bespoke sales strategies that drive bookings and enhance the guest journey across both properties.

Key Responsibilities

Revenue Generation

  • Drive leisure market share growth by targeting affluent travellers, luxury vacationers and family segments across the UK and Germany.
  • Identify and capitalise on key revenue opportunities including seasonal offers, exclusive packages and destination-led promotions.

Strategic Sales Planning

  • Develop and execute leisure-focused sales strategies for Banyan Tree Dubai and Delano Dubai aligned with each brand’s positioning and commercial objectives.
  • Design tailored promotional campaigns and value-driven packages that resonate with leisure travellers while maximising profitability.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with travel agencies, tour operators, luxury travel advisors and key leisure partners across the UK and Germany.
  • Deliver personalised engagement for VIP clients, fostering loyalty, repeat business and brand advocacy.

Sales Performance & Analysis

  • Monitor and analyse leisure segment performance, tracking key metrics such as bookings, revenue contribution and seasonal demand trends.
  • Provide regular performance reports and insights, adjusting sales strategies in line with market dynamics and business goals.

Market Intelligence & Competitive Positioning

  • Stay ahead of leisure travel trends, consumer behaviours and emerging opportunities within the UK and Germany markets.
  • Conduct ongoing competitor analysis to ensure both properties remain competitively positioned within the luxury leisure space.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner closely with Marketing to develop impactful leisure-focused campaigns, content and partnerships, including collaborations with luxury travel influencers.
  • Work with Operations to ensure a seamless end-to-end guest experience from pre-arrival through to post-stay, consistently delivering on brand promise.
Qualifications
  • Proven Luxury Leisure Sales Expertise: Minimum of 5 years experience in sales and business development within the luxury hotel or resort sector with a strong focus on the leisure segment. Demonstrated success in driving revenue growth and consistently achieving or exceeding sales targets.
  • Market Knowledge: Deep understanding of UK and Germany market dynamics, consumer behavior and trends in the luxury travel sector.
  • Sales & Negotiation Skills: Ability to craft compelling proposals, negotiate effectively and close deals with high-net-worth clients, travel agencies, luxury tour operators and direct leisure clients.
  • Relationship Management: Proven ability to develop, maintain and grow long-term relationships with key clients, partners and stakeholders across the luxury leisure travel landscape.
  • Communication & Influence: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to engage and influence both internal teams and external clients across diverse cultural contexts.
  • Market Research & Analysis: Strong analytical skills to evaluate market trends, customer preferences and competitor offerings, translating insights into actionable data-driven sales strategies.
  • Leadership & Collaboration: Experience leading sales initiatives while working collaboratively with Marketing, Operations and senior management to achieve shared business goals.
  • Education & Certifications: Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Sales & Marketing, Hospitality Management or related field preferred. Relevant certifications in sales or hospitality management are a plus.
  • Personal Attributes: Self-motivated, results-driven and passionate about luxury hospitality. Ability to perform under pressure and adapt quickly to evolving market conditions.
  • Industry Network: Strong professional network within the UK and Germany luxury travel and hospitality sectors is highly desirable.
  • Languages: Fluency in English required; additional language skills (e.g. German, French or Spanish) are advantageous.
