Urgent Requirement: Cloud Solution Architect – Digital Banking

We are looking for a highly experienced Solution Architect to join a banking client in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The focus is on designing, implementing, and scaling digital banking solutions that meet business objectives, regulatory mandates, and industry best practices.

Job Overview

The role involves building secure, scalable, and efficient banking platforms across web, mobile, backend, and cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design robust, scalable, and secure digital banking solutions, including customer‑facing portals, mobile applications, online banking platforms, and API‑driven banking services.
• Align digital banking solutions with organizational goals, business strategies, and evolving market trends.
• Lead the end‑to‑end architecture and design of complete digital banking ecosystems covering web, mobile, backend, and cloud platforms.
• Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and trends in digital banking, including AI, machine learning, and blockchain.
• Collaborate closely with business units, product owners, UX/UI designers, and technical teams to define requirements and translate them into technical architecture.
• Ensure adherence to financial regulations (e.g., PSD2, GDPR, KYC) and risk‑management policies throughout the architecture and implementation lifecycle.
• Lead and mentor junior architects and technical teams, fostering innovation and knowledge sharing.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience as a Solution Architect, with at least 4 years focused on digital banking or financial technology.
• Deep knowledge of digital banking technologies such as core banking systems, customer onboarding products, and payment processing.
• Experience with cloud technologies (AWS, Azure) and cloud‑native solutions.
• Strong proficiency in modern software architecture patterns (microservices, event‑driven, serverless) and API‑first design.
• Understanding of security principles, encryption methods, and regulatory compliance in the financial sector.
• Experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.
• Experience working with Agile frameworks such as Scrum, Kanban, and SAFe.

Certifications Required

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect (or equivalent).
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (or equivalent).
• TOGAF, Zachman, or other enterprise architecture certifications.
• Certifications in cloud architecture or relevant technical domains.

Experience Requirements

• Must have current experience as a Solution Architect with strong digital banking background.
• Must be a recent graduate (joined within the last 30 days) – candidates older than 30 days are not considered.
