We are currently recruiting a Claims Officer – Life, Travel & Personal Accident for an Insurance client, based out of their Head office in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Job Purpose

The Officer will manage end to end claims processes for Life, Travel, and Personal Accident (PA) insurance. This includes accurate assessment, documentation, communication, and compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards. The role supports operational efficiency, customer satisfaction, and strategic insights through claims analysis.

Responsibilities
Policies, Processes & Procedures
  • Register, scan, and process incoming claims to meet daily targets.
  • Ensure claims data entry aligns with SLA requirements.
  • Draft and dispatch claims decision letters (approval, settlement, rejection).
  • Monitor market trends and regulatory changes.
  • Recommend tech-driven process improvements.
  • Ensure adherence to SOPs and internal controls.
  • Perform ad hoc duties as needed.
Claims Activities
  • Timely registration and processing of new claims.
  • Review policy coverage and coordinate with legal advisors.
  • Maintain professional communication with stakeholders.
  • Ensure regulatory and procedural compliance.
  • Analyze claims trends and escalate complex cases.
  • Collaborate with internal departments for efficient resolution.
  • Provide adjudication support for group and individual claims.
  • Assist with reconciliation and reporting for key clients in MEA region.
Documentation & Administration
  • Validate data and maintain compliance documentation.
  • Keep accurate and accessible filing systems.
  • Update internal systems with claims activity records.
  • Conduct KYC and compliance reviews.
  • Monitor and update outstanding claims assessments.
  • Generate reports for management on unit performance and compliance.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree (minimum)
  • Insurance certifications (CII/LOMA) preferred
  • 4–8 years in insurance claims handling, preferably in UAE/regional markets
  • Expertise in Life, PA, Travel claims and customer service
  • Full professional proficiency in English
