Job summary

A cinema operations group in Sharjah seeks an Assistant Cinema Operations Manager to lead customer service efforts and oversee daily operations. This role includes managing cinema staff, ensuring excellent guest experiences, and maintaining compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate should have experience in customer service, strong leadership skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of cinema operations is advantageous.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in a customer service role, preferably within the cinema or hospitality industry.
  • Strong leadership and staff management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in English (Arabic is a plus).
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Knowledge of cinema operations, equipment, and health and safety standards is advantageous.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure all guests receive outstanding service and resolve escalated complaints in a professional manner.
  • Continuously monitor audience satisfaction and implement improvements where needed.
  • Oversee ticketing, concessions, and auditorium operations, ensuring everything runs smoothly.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Manage cash handling, daily financial reconciliations, and reporting.
  • Assist in the scheduling, training, and motivation of cinema staff.
  • Support the recruitment and onboarding process of new employees.
  • Provide coaching and performance feedback to staff to enhance productivity and customer satisfaction.
  • Promote special offers, loyalty programs, and upcoming movie releases.
  • Assist in local marketing initiatives and community engagement to drive cinema attendance.
  • Monitor cinema equipment and report issues for timely resolution.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of all areas within the cinema.
  • Prepare daily/weekly reports on sales, staffing, and operations.
