Qualifications

  • 7+ years of experience in business agreements and negotiations.
  • 7+ years with Core Cloud Technology Services, like Compute and Security.
  • 7+ years in Business Application Technologies such as Supply Chain.
  • 7+ years in Go-To-Market, Business Development or Sales.
  • 7+ years with Advanced Compute technologies and Enterprise Application Migration.
  • Strong experience developing strategies influencing leadership decisions.

We are seeking a results driven individual to be the Chief of Staff (CoS) for the Middle East, North Africa and Turkey region of AWS. This role reports to the Managing Director of MENAT and will work closely with senior leaders across the organization, as well as key partners in PR, finance, recruiting, and HR.

The CoS will be a strategic partner to the AGS MENAT Managing Director - managing key projects, facilitating cross-functional communication, driving strategic initiatives, and ensuring operational efficiency by acting as a trusted advisor and problem‑solver.

By combining strong business acumen, strategic thinking, and data analysis with exceptional communication and project management skills, the CoS will act as a force multiplier to deliver desired business outcomes.

Key job responsibilities
  1. Strategic Execution: Supporting leadership with strategic planning, translating vision into actionable plans, and ensuring goals are met.
  2. Liaison & Communication: Serving as a central point of contact, facilitating communication between MENAT executive and Customers, senior leaders, functions, and internal and external stakeholders, ensuring smooth information flow and alignment between teams/business areas.
  3. Project Management: Leading high‑impact, cross‑functional projects from conception to completion.
  4. Advisory Role & Decision Support: Gathering information, building context, presenting insights and recommendations to facilitate informed decision‑making.
  5. Employee Engagement: Design and implement employee engagement strategies that cultivate a positive, open, and innovative culture. Develop and lead internal communications across the MENAT organization.
  6. Delivery of Business Priorities: Establish mechanisms to track progress of all business units and functions towards the overall goals of the region, track outcomes, and develop updates for leadership.
Basic Qualifications
  • 7+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience
  • 7+ years of working with Core Cloud Technology Services, including, but not limited to Compute, Edge, Hybrid, Security, and/or Networking experience
  • 7+ years of working with Business Application Technologies, including, but not limited to End User Compute (EUC), Supply Chain, Contact Center as a Service, Consumer Data Applications, Encrypted Communications, and/or Communication Developer Services experience
  • 7+ years of Go-To-Market, Business Development, Sales, or Consulting experience
  • 7+ years of working with Advanced Compute technologies including, but not limited to: Accelerated Compute, High Performance Compute, Visual/Spatial Compute, and/or IoT. experience
  • 7+ years of working with Enterprise Application Modernization and Migration technologies, including, but not limited to, Mainframe, Serverless, Containers, or Cloud Operations experience
  • 7+ years of working with Data & AI related technologies, including, but not limited to, AI/ML, GenAI, Analytics, Database, and/or Storage experience
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience as a founder or executive focused on related segments, or as a practice leader or business unit owner
  • Experience selling to Fortune 1000 or Global 2000 organizations
