Now, we are evolving into the Primary Bank for the Next Generation—spanning consumers, merchants, and businesses across the continent. With a Microfinance Bank (MFB) license and deep pockets of liquidity, we are ready to dominate the entire financial value chain in emerging markets.

The Role

We are looking for a Chief Growth Officer who is a business builder. You will hold the keys to our consumer growth engine while acting as the strategic marketing partner for our business and asset finance divisions. Your mission is to execute a “Tri‑Engine” strategy:

  • Globalize Quick Loans (The Cash Cow): Sustain and aggressively grow our core high‑velocity, short‑tenure lending business (~40k loans/month) across Nigeria, Zambia, and Uganda.
  • Build Prime Consumer Lending (The New Frontier): Build a new acquisition engine for low‑risk salary earners to drive our lower‑interest, higher‑tenure consumer loan product and capture low‑cost deposits (float).
  • Power Business & Asset Finance (Strategic Enablement): Partner with the general managers of FairMoney Business and Asset Finance to build the digital pipelines and brand awareness needed to fuel their sales teams.

Hiring Process
  1. Screening interview with a member of the Talent Acquisition team (45 minutes).
  2. Strategic & technical with our CPO (60 minutes).
  3. Case study assignment.
  4. Panel case study discussion with key stakeholders (90 minutes).
Key Responsibilities
  1. Strategic Ownership of Marketing Budgets (Consumer). Manage a multi‑million euro annual growth budget with full autonomy for the consumer vertical. Dynamically allocate capital between high‑velocity channels (digital/quick lending) and high‑LTV channels (partnerships/prime lending) to maximise enterprise value. Prioritise profitability and LTV over vanity metrics, ensuring every channel meets strict payback targets.
  2. Scale Prime Consumer Lending & Banking (The Partnership Engine). Crack "Low Risk" acquisition—build a scalable offline & partnership engine to acquire prime users (salary earners) who are often blind to digital loan apps. Payroll & B2B2C strategy: design and execute partnerships with HR/payroll platforms, corporates, and unions. Use these aggregators to verify income (bank statements/data) and distribute our low‑risk consumer loan product at scale. The "banking" hook: use the prime loan as an entry point to capture the user's salary account, unlocking our 19% yield on float.
  3. Enable FairMoney Business & Asset Finance Digital Lead Generation. Build high‑quality digital funnels that feed qualified leads (SMEs, fleet operators) to the business banking and asset finance sales teams.
  4. Brand Awareness & Air Cover. Design and execute above‑the‑line (ATL) and targeted digital campaigns that position FairMoney as a serious player in vehicle financing and merchant banking, warming up the market for the GMs' sales forces.
  5. Cross‑Sell Architecture. Design the lifecycle journeys that convert our millions of consumer borrowers into potential business banking clients.>
  6. International Expansion & Market Entry. Scale Zambia & Uganda: drive the growth strategy for our live markets in East and Southern Africa. Adapt the Nigeria playbook to local nuances, optimising acquisition channels for each specific market. New market launch: lead the scouting and go‑to‑market strategy for further expansion across Africa, setting up the initial acquisition infrastructure for day‑one growth.
  7. Master Performance Marketing & Tech. Lead the technical overhaul of our digital marketing stack (Google, Meta, affiliates) across all geographies. Solve complex attribution & signal loss challenges (iOS/Android) to ensure we are bidding on "quality" (repayment/deposits) rather than just volume. Champion the use of AI & machine learning for propensity modelling—predicting user value before ad spend.
  8. Unlock Product‑Led Growth. Collaborate with product and risk leadership to implement dynamic onboarding. Identify and remove funnel friction points (e.g., card linking, KYC steps) for verified low‑risk users (via payroll/bank statement APIs) to drastically improve conversion rates without compromising risk standards.
Experience

10+ years in growth, marketing, or P&L roles, with deep experience in fintech, digital banking, or high‑velocity consumer tech.
