This position is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day functioning of the finance department by maintaining accurate and timely financial records for the organization. The role involves ensuring compliance with all regulations, preventing financial losses, and providing timely reports to management. Responsibilities include verifying banking transactions, overseeing payments, and ensuring proper documentation and storage of financial files.
Books of Accounts:
- Checking day books for all group companies to ensure accurate accounting entries with correct voucher types and series according to policies.
- Vouching and verification to ensure proper supporting documents are available with adequate authorization.
- Ensuring files are labeled, indexed, and stored properly in the warehouse timely.
- Maintaining server folders as per prescribed guidelines.
Banking Transactions & Treasury:
- Ensuring accuracy in all banking transactions.
- Verifying bank charges are correctly applied.
- Optimizing fund utilization to save on interest costs.
- Performing timely reconciliations of TR, bank, and security deposits.
- Conducting regular cash counts and securing treasury documents.
Accounts Payable:
- Ensuring timely payments to vendors as per due dates.
- Verifying sufficient documentation and approvals before processing payments.
- Processing payroll accurately and on time.
Accounts Receivable:
- Booking collection entries promptly.
- Maintaining accurate receivable account balances.
- Submitting reports to management timely.
- Ensuring all customer KYC documents are in place and signed SOA are received on time.
Property & Insurance:
- Renewing insurance policies timely.
- Ensuring full claims are obtained in case of claims.
- Maintaining KYC documents of tenants and landlords.
- Timely renting of properties and sending notices to tenants.
Statutory Audit:
- Completing annual audits of all group companies on time.
- Reviewing ledgers for accuracy and logical flow.
- Finalizing accounts according to applicable standards and IFRS.
- Liaising with external auditors for timely audits.
- Preparing schedules and workings as required by auditors.
VAT:
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns on time.
- Maintaining proper supporting documents and books as per UAE VAT regulations.
- Ensuring all VAT documents are available and FTA files are maintained.
- Staying updated with statutory law developments and implementing changes.
Requirements:
- CA qualification.
- Experience in preparing financial statements.
- Proficiency in Tally software.
- Accurate and timely reporting to managers and directors.
- Managing a team of 10-15 people with at least 2 years of team management experience.
