Role Overview :

We are looking for a proactive and results-driven Business Development Associate to support upGrad’s expansion and client engagement in the UAE. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong interest in sales and business development who want to build their career in the fast-growing EdTech sector. The associate will be responsible for lead generation, client outreach, and supporting business development managers in building long-term relationships with partners and learners.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct outreach (cold & warm) via email, phone, and LinkedIn to engage inbound leads and prospective clients.
  • Track and report weekly revenue performance and enrolment data.
  • Meet clients within Dubai and other emirates to support business meetings.
  • Research and identify potential clients aligned with target market segments.
  • Support development of proposals, presentations, and sales pitches.
  • Collaborate with senior team members to implement regional business development strategies.
  • Assist in managing client relationships and ensuring smooth onboarding.
  • Provide market research insights and competitor analysis to the business development team.

Qualifications & Experience :

  • 1–3 years of experience in business development, sales, or client-facing roles (EdTech/education sector experience preferred).
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Goal-oriented with a proven ability to meet or exceed targets.
  • Comfortable with CRM tools such as HubSpot.
  • Highly motivated, detail-oriented, and eager to learn.
  • Ability to work independently and in a collaborative environment.
  • Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Arabic (spoken and written) is a plus.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the UAE.
