Overview
As a Brand Specialist you will be part of Amazon’s Strategic Vendor Services (SVS) team. The SVS team provides a suite of services designed to help Amazon’s most strategic brands across all key areas of the retail business. You will act as the main point of contact for vendors supplying the top brands on Amazon, working backwards from the customer to identify inputs that grow brand performance and improve their outcomes while maintaining strong business relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end‑to‑end relationship with top brands.
- Partner with key retail functions to contribute to the definition of priorities and operational goals according to the brands’ needs.
- Partner with the Media Team to ensure best‑in‑class events.
- Define joint business plans and assist in delivering impact for the brands you support directly.
- Regularly audit metrics to continuously drive quality of the SVS experience and deliver targets.
- Contribute to continuous enhancement and innovation within SVS across MENA.
- Business advice: Provide insights based on deep financial analysis and reporting to identify opportunities.
- Selection: Help grow product selection by managing new product launches and improving discoverability.
- Availability: Support process improvement and operational excellence within the vendor community by reducing cost, defects, and lead times while increasing innovation.
- Traffic: Analyze traffic channels and work on initiatives that generate traffic by supporting marketing and merchandising campaigns.
- Conversion: Plan and execute promotional activities and improve customer journey on Amazon.
- Contribute to improving the efficiency of the service itself by building scale for the service through the right set of tools and cross‑functional collaboration.
Key Job Responsibilities (Additional)
- Act as the point of brand and category expertise for Amazon Tier 1 vendors, serving as a trusted business advisor.
- Innovate new solutions to complex business challenges.
- Own and manage a significant pool of Tier 1 vendors.
- Develop, implement and evaluate business plans to deliver or exceed vendor improvement plans.
- Collaborate with multifunctional teams (Marketing, Finance, Supply Operations, etc.).
- Improve pricing visibility and availability for your brands.
- Translate category business plans into tangible action plans.
- Build productive relationships with vendors to create mutual value.
- Turn raw data and insights into actionable conclusions.
- Use analytical tools and integrate various data systems to develop new insights.
- Identify opportunities to improve products, services, processes, systems and tools.
- Work with different parts of Amazon to implement improvement projects, working with category, product and technical support teams.
Required Experience & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Science, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field with an excellent academic background.
- 0‑4 years of experience in key account management, project management, customer‑facing or commercial roles.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and negotiating skills.
- Advanced MS Office skills; Excel proficiency is a must.
- Experience in MNCs, especially in FMCG, ecommerce, digital is preferred.
- Experience in digital and ecommerce space.
- Experience in brand management of portfolio/regional roles.
- Previous key account management experience is an advantage.
- Experience in process improvement.
- Experience managing large amounts of data.
- Experience using analytical tools such as Google Analytics, SQL or HTML.
