GAC is seeking a Boarding Representative to join our global team, based in Dubai/Fujairah. GAC is a leading worldwide provider of shipping, logistics and marine services dedicated to fostering long-term relationships with customers, staff and suppliers.

Job Description

The main purpose of the role is to board vessels and provide services required by Vessel Master, crews and passengers. Duties include checking Master’s requirements, collecting documents for immigration formalities, giving vessel immigration clearance on arrival and departure, welcoming new crew members at the airport, clearing airport and seaport immigration to enable new crew members to join their vessel, and clearing departing crews before sending them to the airport. The role contributes towards providing effective and efficient service to Vessel Master, crews and passengers thus increasing profitability of the department.

Key Responsibilities

• Board vessel upon arrival following prior boarding check with PIC for lined up service list.
• Call/SMS PIC/Radi Room with arrival and sailing condition report upon receipt from Master.
• Check with Master for any additional requirements; inform and take PIC approval before delivering additional services.
• Handle seaport and airport immigration work, issues and concerns for vessel, crews and passengers.
• Communicate and coordinate with operations coordinators and boarding representative supervisor.
• Assist with crew transportation if time permits.

Job Requirements

• Minimum High School education or equivalent.
• UAE Driver’s License is a must.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and accounting software.
• Good English communication skills; knowledge of Arabic or subcontinent languages is an added advantage.
• Minimum 1 year work experience in a similar role.
