Job Title and Location
BIM/CAD Modeler (Utilities) – Dubai, UAE
Responsibilities
- Work closely with BIM Lead and Design Leads to ensure project compliance with policies and processes, and to ensure timely implementation and completion.
- Develop engineering drawings consisting of basic arrangements, layouts, flow sheets, assemblies, isometrics, component details from rough sketches and/or general engineering and design information according to established standards and procedures, and to ensure timely implementation and completion.
- Understand BIM modeling process and manage all BIM related activities from project start-up to project completion.
- Review each drawing for readability, presentation and adherence to standards in accordance with company QA/QC processes.
- Create parametric and non-parametric families.
- Interpret and apply Level of Development (LOD) requirements.
- Collaborate and communicate with other disciplines on coordination issues and model development tasks.
- Use Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection and produce clash reports.
- Produce scheduling and quantity extraction from the model.
- Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
Required Skills
- A diploma or degree in civil engineering.
- Minimum of 5 years of CAD drafting experience, specifically on wet and dry utilities projects.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Autodesk Civil 3D and ACC BIM Workflows.
- Good knowledge of BIM and understanding of Level of Development (LOD) requirements and BIM processes.
- Clear verbal and written communication in English.
Desired Skills
- UAE and GCC experience preferred.
- Experience working within a Common Data Environment, particularly ProjectWise and BIM360.
- Experience with Navisworks.
