Account Executive / BDM (US market)

Job Location : Dubai (DIFC)

Office based (international travel will be necessary)

MishiPay is an international, leading checkout technology company that empowers shoppers to checkout instore using either self-checkout via their own smartphones, or using MishiPay's industry leading, minimalist, low cap-ex kiosks. We are creating an enjoyable and convenient in-store shopping experience for leading retailers globally.

MishiPay now also runs Mobile POS, Click and Collect and Cash registers, so that merchants, who initially start with our self-checkout, can eventually run their whole store checkout process on MishiPay. With our technology, retailers have proven reductions in cost, due to requiring fewer cashiers, a marked increase in sales due to improved basket sizes, higher frequency of shopper visits and reduction in abandoned baskets, and in addition, all our retailers can access rich and priceless data about their customers. This enables a much better understanding of the customer journey in their bricks and mortar stores.

The Role

Our key growth markets are the US and EMEA and as such, we're looking for key individuals to make an impact within our talented, driven team. This role will focus on the USA, targeting retailers within this territory, and so requires someone with prior US-focussed experience as an AE/BDM within a tech business, ideally POS/retail technology.

About You

You MUST have targeted Enterprise clients in North America, selling technology/SaaS products, ideally to retailers. It's essential that you can hold a technical business conversation in English, and your written skills are just as important. You’ll love the startup ecosystem and relish the chance to work in a global growing retail tech business. You'll understand what it's like to work in a high-growth environment, be happy to be hands‑on, comfortable with pace and change, and ultimately show a clear success record of generating revenue within a business such as ours.

You'll be driven, energetic and able to business plan successfully to meet your targets and develop relationships and revenue. Your gravitas and mindset will allow you to be able to explain our products clearly, concisely and persuasively.

You Will Be Responsible For
  • Managing and growing customer accounts, building long‑term relationships across a variety of retailers.
  • Meeting sales targets and KPI's.
  • Communicating product information to potential US customers, explaining MishiPay's technology to non‑technical and technical contacts at all levels.
  • Conducting market research on competitors and similar in‑house products developed by retailers.
  • Managing your own Sales administration process.
  • Working with the rest of the international team throughout the Sales cycle, to ensure we have the best chance of success and closing business.
Skills & Experience
  • A technical mindset, underpinned with strong commercial acumen. It’s essential that you can hold a technical conversation about our products with potential customers.
  • A proven success rate of net revenue increase YOY >100%.
  • Ideally, experience /market knowledge of the retail industry, particularly in‑store retail technology.
  • Influential communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment.
  • A proactive mindset and ability to manage your own time to meet your target.
  • Problem solving, engineering mindset proven in past experiences.
  • Ability to work long hours required in a start‑up, and a passion to help us meet our ambitious goals.
  • An ability to manage existing relationships and growth of existing clients.
  • Technical background preferred.
