Role Overview
Join our hospitality team as a Barista, where you'll contribute to creating exceptional guest experiences at The Chedi Al Bait, Sharjah. In this ONSITE role, you will craft high-quality beverages, maintain impeccable service standards, and ensure a warm, memorable experience in a luxurious environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve a wide range of hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees, teas, and signature drinks.
- Demonstrate full knowledge of beverage menus, ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation standards.
- Greet guests warmly, engage with them professionally, and take orders accurately.
- Anticipate guest needs, provide personalized recommendations, and ensure maximum satisfaction.
- Operate coffee machines and related equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring they remain clean and in good working order.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the barista station, service counters, and equipment.
- Ensure proper receiving, storing, and labeling of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other consumables.
- Conduct daily inventory of beverages, supplies, and barista tools to ensure smooth operations.
- Restock stations with adequate mis‑en‑place, including cups, utensils, napkins, and ingredients.
- Report guest concerns or complaints promptly to the supervisor.
- Follow hygiene, sanitation, and safety standards at all times.
- Perform side duties and any additional tasks assigned by the supervisor or manager.
Must Have Requirements
- Prior experience as a Barista or in a guest‑facing food & beverage role.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation methods, espresso machine operation, and beverage service.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while handling multiple orders efficiently.
- High attention to detail with a commitment to beverage quality, cleanliness, and service excellence.
- Presentable, well‑groomed appearance aligned with hotel standards.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
- Proactive, positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
- Basic organizational abilities for inventory and station setup.
