Job Overview:

GluCare Integrated Diabetes Center is seeking a friendly, service-oriented Barista to join our patient hospitality team. The Barista will be responsible for preparing and serving a variety of beverages, including coffee, tea, smoothies, and soft drinks, to patients and guests, ensuring a welcoming and comfortable environment aligned with our integrated care experience.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, including specialty coffees, herbal teas, smoothies, and sugar-free drinks.
• Ensure beverage offerings align with GluCare's patient dietary guidelines, focusing on diabetes-friendly options.
• Greet patients and visitors courteously, warmly, and professionally.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the beverage preparation area at all times.
• Monitor inventory and request restocking of ingredients and supplies as needed.
• Support patient events, wellness sessions, and educational workshops with beverage service when required.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene regulations per Dubai Municipality and internal clinic policies.
• Maintain and operate beverage equipment such as espresso machines, blenders, and refrigeration units.
• Provide feedback or suggestions to enhance the patient café experience.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; barista training or certification is a plus.
• At least 2 years of experience as a barista or in a hospitality role, preferably in a healthcare, wellness, or boutique setting.
• Knowledge of food safety, cleanliness, and hygiene standards.
• Ability to prepare a range of beverages, including diabetic-friendly and wellness-focused drinks.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Friendly, patient-focused attitude with attention to detail.
• Basic understanding of dietary needs for people with diabetes is a plus.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
