Job summary

A leading construction firm in Dubai is seeking a skilled AutoCAD Technical Assistant with a Mechanical Engineering background to support HVAC duct design and administrative documentation. The role involves CAD drafting, technical sales support, and close coordination with customers and logistics. Candidates should have at least 2 years of experience in HVAC or construction-related roles and strong proficiency in AutoCAD 2D. A valid UAE Driving License is mandatory for this position.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical sales HVAC or construction-related role.
• Strong hands-on experience with AutoCAD 2D (HVAC ducting preferred).
• Experience in HVAC duct manufacturing drawings and tagging systems is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed HVAC ductwork and mechanical services drawings using AutoCAD 2D.
• Liaise with customers for technical clarifications, missing details and design confirmations.
• Prepare and process Delivery Notes, GRNs, Stock Issue, Stock Issue Returns and Invoices through the system.

Skills

Proficiency in AutoCAD 2D for mechanical/HVAC drawings

Strong understanding of HVAC duct fabrication processes

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and BOQs

Good communication skills for customer interaction and coordination

Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Technical Assistant with a Mechanical Engineering background to support HVAC duct design technical coordination and administrative documentation. The role combines CAD drafting, technical sales support and administrative responsibilities requiring close coordination with customers, production and logistics teams.

Key Responsibilities

Technical & CAD Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed HVAC ductwork and mechanical services drawings using AutoCAD 2D.
• Verify customer tag lists and ensure all technical details required for duct manufacturing are accurate.
• Extract and prepare tag lists from AutoCAD 2D drawings.
• Calculate square meter (Sq. Mtr.) quantities for duct fabrication.
• Prepare material request sheets for each tag list and coordinate material issuance.
• Identify and calculate customer-supplied materials required for duct delivery.

Customer Coordination & Technical Support

• Liaise with customers for technical clarifications, missing details and design confirmations.
• Verify customer‑submitted tag lists and drawings for completeness and manufacturability.
• Communicate with customers to resolve discrepancies prior to production.

Administrative & System Responsibilities

• Prepare and process Delivery Notes, GRNs, Stock Issue, Stock Issue Returns and Invoices through the system.
• Maintain accurate documentation related to drawings, materials, deliveries and invoicing.
• Coordinate with production stores and logistics teams to ensure timely execution.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a technical sales HVAC or construction‑related role.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AutoCAD 2D (HVAC ducting preferred).
• Experience in HVAC duct manufacturing drawings and tagging systems is highly desirable.
