Job Purpose
Associate Engineer, Operations Command Center will analyze all alerts generated by monitoring solution and will take necessary actions based on the documented processes and handle technical support for batch processing, authorization switch and card management system.
Job Accountabilities
- Provide 1st level support for Switching platform & Core authorization applications in 24x7 shifts
- Visa and Mastercard settlement clearing application ownership and provide L1 support
- Way4 SOD process monitoring and Client SLA Reporting
- Handling Financial file processing related failures and ensure processing of incomingoutgoing interchange within agreed SLA
- Query handling from various internal / externals teams, clients, schemes etc. like Customer Support teams, Merchant Support, Solution Design, PMs, Business teams, Internal Operations teams, external service providers like Visa, Mastercard etc.
- Incident management as per NI’s policies
- Keeping stakeholders updated through various channels
- Excellent Analytical, troubleshooting & vendor co-ordination skills
- Understanding of Incident management & Change control life cycle
- Excellent capability to learn & adapt to changes.
- Provide support to projects team for change monitoring.
- Card payment technology end to end knowledge
- Hands on knowledge on automation tools like Control-M, RPA, Python
- Software Monitoring – Monitoring of Switch Application and its modules
- Transaction level monitoring using alerts & dashboards of monitoring tool.
- Understanding of financial files and its business impact
- Keep the Production and DR systems in sync using replication tools.
- Understands Cloud technologies
- Understands Service/Disaster recovery process
- Certificate inventory management
Job Requirements
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferable in IT)
Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience in system monitoring and network management.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Knowledge of network protocols and security measures.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
Technical Skills
- Experience with monitoring software and tools such as BHOM, Grafana, SolarWinds, or similar.
- Strong understanding of network protocols, network security, and network performance monitoring.
- Knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux, Unix) and system performance matrix.
- Ability to analyze and interpret data from various sources to identify trends and issues.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) to automate monitoring tasks.
- Experience in incident detection, response, and resolution.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and their monitoring services.
- Understanding of database performance monitoring
Communication and Leadership
